About the Company

Our Corporate Mission

Supporting next generation product development with leading-edge vacuum process technologies and our years of automation.
Canon Tokki was founded in 1967. In 1982, we were the first company to be certified as a robot engineering company, and our company has grown and developed with our main strengths being in the machine tools and automated machine fields. These technologies play an active role in OLED mass-production equipment, the core of our company's current business.

Canon Tokki expanded into the new field of vacuum processing technology in 1983. Over 20 years have passed since we first took up the challenge of this new field from the previous machine tool and automation tool fields that we were originally involved in, and now, vacuum process technology has become our core business.

Vacuum process technology is, as the phrase suggests, a process of artificially creating a vacuum state by removing air, and taking advantage of the characteristics of this space that is lower in pressure than the atmosphere, without oxygen, water vapor, or other active gases. Vacuum process technology is currently being used throughout science and industry. The electronic parts used in everyday objects such as digital cameras, mobile phones, personal computers, and game hardware are also manufactured using this technology. We provide numerous research institutions and corporations with prototype testing equipment and mass production equipment based on this vacuum process technology.

As a business that provides industrial equipment to customers, we at Canon Tokki are strengthening our system of being aware of, and giving consideration to the environment. Our head office and main plant in Mitsuke has been awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.

In addition, we contribute to the manufacturing of final products that consider to the environment, such as OLED displays that use less energy than existing LCD displays and other similar devices, mercury-free products (mercury is environmentally damaging), next-generation thin-film photovoltaic cells that do not use silicon, and more. We have established product support centers in Niigata, Kansai, and Kyushu for delivered mass production equipment as well as sending service personnel to international location such as South Korea, Taiwan, Europe, and the US.

We at Canon Tokki are further strengthening its support structure that widely covers both domestic and global markets.
